Hello from Sleeping Indian Outfitters!
|
We are a small, family owned and operated outfit. We love our home and here in Bondurant we live a true Wyoming lifestyle in close connection with our animals and the wild land around us. Our objective is to provide you and your family with an experience that will create memories you won't forget for a lifetime. We strive to give you a peek into the real Wyoming lifestyle and the happiness and joy we gain by living such a lifestyle. Started over 30 years ago, Sleeping Indian Outfitters was a product of Paul Crittenden's vision to create a lasting hunting outfit in the heart of Wyoming's beautiful Bridger-Teton National Forest. With the help of his wife Sharon, Paul kept the business going through many tough years. Sharon's good cooking and happy nature keep everyone going around the ranch and, even though we can't get her on a horse, her love of the area is evident too. Many changes have ensued over the years but one thing remains the same: Paul's love for the backcountry and the animals that reside there. We lost Paul in April 2019 but his vision is one that we strive to carry on into the future. Needless to say, Paul's son, Sam, came by his love of the mountains honestly. Born and raised here in Bondurant, Sam is a true native who has learned much from his father about hunting and appreciating this area. He is excited about the future potential of the business. A hard worker and a good man, we think he'll do just fine. In 2013 Sam married Alix, a girl from North Carolina who came west first in 2008, to ride horses and mush dogs. She and her pony Tuff guide most of the day rides and she looks forward to building a life and a family here with Sam. The family is completed by about 20 horses and mules, 4 dogs, 2 cats, and a herd of chickens. Come and see us all! We'd love the chance to show you this beautiful place we are all so privileged to call our home. |
